University of Bath

Blanchard Wells was awarded the contract to construct the reinforced concrete frame and roof structure for the University of Bath’s new School of Management building.

Valued at £6.2m, the project was completed within a tight 28-week programme period. The construction involved the use of 4300 m3 of concrete and 700 tonnes of reinforcement on a sloping site, with split-level ground and first floors. Despite facing challenges, such as the outbreak of Covid and crane downtime due to wind, Blanchard Wells was able to overcome these obstacles and deliver the project on time and to the highest standards.
